Day 4, Wednesday April 18

Today was pretty uneventful. Our facilitator picked up our official referal yesterday. We slept in a little today and have now adjusted to the time change. We are packing and getting ready for our driver to take us to the train station. The train leaves Kiev at 7:20 pm and arrives in Donetsk at 7:10 am. We will sleep on the train tonight. Our facilitator arrived in Donetsk this morning and has already started the necessary papaerwork we will need to complete in Donetsk. We are anxious to see Natasha tomorrow.

Are you sleeping in beds on the train or just in the seats?

Gail, OMG! (I am with you) I just read what has been going on and by day 3 I was nearly sobbing. As a mommy of 4, soon to be 7 too, I am feeling your labor pains. Cannot wait until Mark and I get that call from KTA that we have an appointment date at SDA. Ironically, our 2 youngest boys will be staying with their godparents in upstate New York. Your experience has shown us it will be wise to get to NY 1-2 days early (they are 6 hours from JFK), we are about 20 from Atlanta. Oh, you are so in our prayers. I cannot wait to hear about Natasha's reaction when she sees you have come for her. Can I get you guys on your regular e-mail too?

Wishing you both a nice ride on the train. Glad things are going smoother since your hectic start. Tell Natasha that Babushaka and Dadushka are home now and she can come see us as soon as she gets home. Doesn't have to shake her head no this time. Give her a big hug for us. Shauna, Sammy & Sabrina are doing very well. They and the dog miss you both.

Hope you are sleeping in beds on the train. Just checked the world clock and it is about 1:45am in Kyiv. I pray you are both sleeping well before your big day.

We have been thinking of you both and praying for you. Hardly have any words. What you'll do for love I guess. Best of luck. We look forward to the blog saying she's with you. Matthew asked were you guys finally going to pick her up and is she staying for good this time! (Kids keep it so simple) What grade will she be in ? etc. I told him yes 'finally' and I didn't know but anyway, Happy belated birthday Bob!

Hey, guess I forgot, too! Happy Birthday, Bob! Seems like only yesterday that our first son was born! What a way to celebrate for you with the successful appointment and a soon to be new daughter. We are anxious to hear how she is and to know more of the plan. Love,
Dad
